Bay Food Brokerage Sponsors Market at New Feeding Tampa Bay Facility

May 23 marked a huge milestone for Feeding Tampa Bay (FTB), with the nonprofit officially opening its new $60 million facility in Tampa. Bay Food Brokerage and the Chatterton family are incredibly proud to partner with Feeding Tampa Bay on this project and to be a named sponsor in the facility’s Publix Charities Community Market.

“This is a bright spot in our community and a truly impressive accomplishment that will serve so many families in need!” said Bay Food Brokerage President and CEO Cammie Chatterton, who also serves on Feeding Tampa Bay’s Board of Directors. “Thank you to Thomas Mantz, President and CEO of Feeding Tampa Bay, for bringing this new facility to fruition.”

New Facility to Raise More People Out of Food Insecurity

Feeding Tampa Bay’s new home at Causeway Center is the Tampa Bay region’s first community hub of its kind. This new home will allow the organization to address the immediate and long-term needs of its neighbors, including being able to feed twice as many people as it has in the past.

The new 215,000-square-foot facility will provide community members with access to key support, such as onsite medical services, grocery and restaurant services, financial counseling, and access to benefits like SNAP and WIC.

Bay Food Team Setting the refrigerated casePrior to the grand opening, members of our Bay Food team helped set the market to ensure it was ready, including loading perishable food into refrigerated cases.

“I could not be prouder to be on the Feeding Tampa Bay board and be a small part of this incredible food and social services support center,” said Cammie. “It was an emotional day seeing this dream become a reality, and we are so proud to partner with Feeding Tampa Bay and be included in the Publix Charities Community Market.”
